Spooky Fun Awaits - Upcoming Halloween Events in Atascadero!

The City of Atascadero is excited to announce a variety of Halloween events for the whole family, kicking off today and continuing through the weekend! Mark your calendars and join us for some frightfully fun activities happening throughout the city:

Halloween Celebration at Atascadero Farmers Market! Wednesday, October 29 | 3 PM – 5:30 PM | Location: Sunken Gardens, Atascadero

Join North County Farmers Markets for an afternoon of family fun. Our farmers are ditching their usual getup for something a little more festive! Stop by to see their creative costumes and enjoy the fall fun.

Entertainment by Andy Morris featuring live music and magic. Trick or Treat the Farmers Market! Our vendors will be handing out treats for all ages, so grab your reusable bag or basket. Come dressed in your Halloween costume for extra prize opportunities and swing by the manager’s booth to spin the prize wheel for those in costume!

From 4 PM- 5 PM, join in on free pumpkin decorating. Pumpkins are provided along with all of the supplies to decorate the pumpkin of your choosing with temporary tattoos. ORANGE & GREY FRIDAYS! PARK DOWNTOWN Pre & Post Game! | Location: Downtown Atascadero

Plan to bring your families for Trick or Treating Downtown at participating shops from 5-7 pm, plenty of different locations offering different activities from a Costume Contest at Gatherings Thrift; DJ & Costumes at Poisoned Apple and Ancient Owl, Hay Bale Maze off of Entrada, and so much more!  

Día de los Muertos! Saturday, November 1 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Location: Central Coast Zoo

Celebrate life and honor a vibrant cultural tradition during our Día de los Muertos event. Learn about the natural world’s connection to this sacred holiday rooted in Mesoamerican heritage. Discover the symbolism of marigolds, monarchs, and regional wildlife like the Mexican spider monkey.

Enjoy themed crafts, cultural exhibits, special guests and delicious eats from Quesadilla Gorilla (available for purchase).
